The bank letter you never saw
You are between homes and your bank sends a PIN or card by post. One stable address means it arrives, is photographed and is waiting for you.
Testing Portugal before a lease
You rent month to month and want banks, the tax authority and utilities to have one destination while you decide where to settle.
A company registered office
Your LDA needs a Portuguese registered office and your team is abroad. The address can serve as the sede social, and letters from the tax authority and Social Security arrive in the same portal.
A flat in Lisbon, a life elsewhere
You own an apartment in Lisbon and live elsewhere. The condo association, utilities and water board want a Portuguese address. You scan and forward what matters.

Versus the alternatives
Why the address should be in Portugal
US virtual-mailbox services give you a US address. Portuguese banks, the tax authority and a Portuguese company need a Portuguese one. A rented office gives you the same address but a lease, a desk and a deposit you do not need if you only want post.

This is a commercial mailing address. It cannot on its own be registered as your habitual residence for a residence permit.
FAQ
Common questions
Can I use it to register my residency with AIMA?
No. It is a commercial postal address, not a habitual residence. For that you need a residential lease or property deed.
Can I use it as the registered office of a company?
Yes, on every plan, with a contract. It pairs with the LDA service.
Is it a fiscal domicile or a fiscal representative?
No. A fiscal representative is a separate service, included with the NIF.
What does forwarding cost?
Postage is quoted per item before dispatch and charged at cost on every plan, by CTT or DHL. Premium includes the handling fee.
How long do you keep physical mail?
30 days on Basic and Standard, 60 days on Premium. After that we return or destroy the item with prior notice.
What do you accept?
Letters, registered letters, return-receipt items and parcels up to 5 kg. Tell us in advance about larger parcels. We do not accept dangerous goods or perishables.
How long to activate?
Within 2 business days of payment. The first envelope usually takes longer, because senders need time to update your address.
Will my bank accept it?
Many banks accept it as a correspondence address. Some prefer a residential lease for the main address. We can check with a specific bank before you subscribe.
Can the tax authority write to this address?
Yes. Companies are mainly notified electronically through the Caixa Postal. Physical letters to individuals can arrive here, and we scan, forward or archive each one as you choose.
Is it the same as the Caixa Postal Eletrónica?
No. That is the government's electronic mailbox. This is a physical address in Lisbon. They can be used together.
6 months prepaid or monthly?
Prepaid costs about 20% less per month and does not renew automatically. We email you 14 days before it ends. Monthly renews through Stripe and you cancel from the portal, effective at the end of the paid month.
Can I get a refund mid-cycle?
Plans are paid in full for the cycle and are not refundable mid-cycle. See the refund policy.
What happens to my mail if I do not renew?
Items in storage stay for 30 or 60 days after the cycle ends, then are returned or destroyed with notice. New mail is returned to sender.
What about VAT?
Portuguese VAT at 23% applies to all clients, because the service is provided in Portugal. If you are a VAT-registered business in another EU state, write to us about reverse charge.
Do I need to be resident?
No. The service is made for non-residents, and you can subscribe from your home country.

Is my data safe?
We operate under the GDPR. Data is hosted in the EU. We never open mail without your instruction, and you can export or delete your data from the portal.
